Karazin University students received a 2023 scholarship from the N. I. Akhiezer Foundation

First-year master's students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics Oleg Vozniak, Iryna Mihailikova, Mykola Generalov, graduate student Anna Honcharuk and senior teacher of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics Olesya Zavarzina received the 2023 N.I. Akhiezer Foundation scholarship.

For reference. The Naum Ilyich Ahiezer Foundation was established in 2005 to support promising young mathematicians studying or working in Kharkiv. It is named after Kharkiv University professor Naum Ahiezer, one of the most famous Kharkiv mathematicians. Since 2019, the Fund has supported Nova Ukraine, a non-profit organization whose activities are aimed at raising awareness of Ukraine in the US and around the world and providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Every year, the foundation allocates (based on the results of the competition) several scholarships for young mathematicians (students, graduate students and young professionals not older than 35 years old) who live and work in Kharkiv.
