Training

The School of Philology is one of the oldest schools in the University. It has written bright pages in the history of not only national, but also world philology with the works of its alumni and faculty, who became famous scholars. These are, first of all, the works of O. Potebnia, I. Sreznevskyi, D. Ovsianyko-Kulykovskyi, M. Sumtsov, Yu. Shevelev. Today, the School employs 12 full professors, 48 associate professors, 24 instructors. The School offers postgraduate and doctoral studies.

The School prepares Bachelors in two majors: Philology and Journalism.

Academic programs in Philology:

          • Ukrainian Language and Literature (full-time and part-time),
          • Ukrainian Language and Literature and English Language (full-time and part-time),
          • Ukrainian Language and Literature, Literary Editing (full-time and part-time),
          • Polish Language and Literature and Ukrainian Language (full-time),
          • Slavic Philology, Literary Editing and Content Creation (full-time and part-time),
          • Classical Languages and Literatures and English language (full-time form),
          • Applied linguistics and English language (full-time).
          • The School prepares Masters in two majors: Philology and Journalism.

            Academic programs in Philology:

            • Ukrainian Language and Literature (full-time and part-time),
            • Ukrainian Language and Literature and Ukrainian as a Foreign Language (full-time and part-time),
            • Slavic Philology, Creation of Textual Content and Creative Writing (full-time and part-time forms),
            • Classical Languages and Literatures and English Language (full-time),
            • Applied Linguistics and English Language (full-time).

In the specialty "Journalism" training is carried out according to the educational program - "Journalism" (full-time and part-time).

 

At the third (academic) level, training is carried out in majors:

            • Philology, educational program — "Philology" (Ukrainian Language and Literature, Slavic Languages and Literatures, World Literature),
            • Journalism, educational program — "Journalism".
