V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University has recently been included in the State Register of Research Institutions and Higher Education Institutions Eligible for State Support. This is stated in Order No. 85 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated January 22, 2026.

The State Register of Research Institutions Eligible for State Support is an official list of research institutions and higher education institutions whose activities are of strategic importance for the development of science, the economy, and the innovation potential of Ukraine. In total, 216 research institutions and higher education institutions across Ukraine have been included in this register.

The inclusion of Karazin University in this list confirms its status as a leading research institution and ensures access to state support, participation in grant-funded projects, and the receipt of funding necessary for the implementation of research activities. This strategically important achievement also opens new opportunities for the further development of research and innovation activities and for strengthening the university’s material and technical infrastructure. In particular, the university will have guarantees for preserving its state status and scientific potential.

State support for a university that continues to live and work in frontline Kharkiv is one of the key levers for further joint efforts toward Victory. The confirmation of the status of a research institution eligible for state support is recognition of the significant contribution of Karazin University to the development of national science and education, the training of highly qualified professionals, and adherence to sustainable development policy goals aimed at strengthening its position in the European and global educational and research space.
