V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the National Scientific Center “Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Institute of Forensic Examinations” (NSC IFE) have officially formalized their long-standing partnership by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document opens up new opportunities for joint scientific research, exchange of expertise, and the training of highly qualified specialists.

The memorandum was signed by Rector Tetyana Kaganovska on behalf of Karazin University, and by Director Anastasiia Kupriianova on behalf of NSC IFE.

The agreement aims to advance science, education, and forensic expert activity. Key areas of cooperation include joint research projects, educational synergy, practical training, and expert work.

Following the official part, representatives of NSC IFE visited the modern biomedical research laboratory “Karazin BioMed.” This is a unique scientific and educational space that provides training for students of biological, medical, and chemical faculties, particularly in the fields of forensic and molecular genetic expertise. During the visit, guests were shown advanced equipment that has no analogues in Eastern Europe.

The cooperation between Karazin University and NSC IFE already has a strong foundation. Many graduates in biology and genetics from the university successfully work in NSC IFE laboratories. Therefore, combining the strong academic foundation of Karazin University with the practical experience of the Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius NSC IFE is a confident step toward the development of Ukrainian science and forensic expertise.
