The University Celebrates the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language
On October 27, Ukrainians celebrate the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language in a special way. The entire country upholds the right to self-determination and independence. The right to communicate in the Ukrainian language, which proudly resonates around the world.
Four centuries of language repression. Over 130 bans on speaking, printing, teaching, and creating in Ukrainian, attempts to destroy our language. Instead, the Ukrainian word has become even more significant, and the position of the Ukrainian language is even stronger.
Language is the weapon of Ukrainians. It is the language that identifies us as Ukrainians. It closely connects us to our history, values, and centuries-old cultural heritage. Without language, there is no nation. Without a nation, there is no state. Without a state, there is no future.
On the occasion of this holiday, the Karazin community joined the national unity dictation. This year, the dictation is titled "Roads of Ukraine," and it was authored by the Ukrainian poet and translator Kateryna Kalytko. The text was read by Oleksiy Hnatkovsky, a theater and film actor.
We were pleased to be part of this significant event, uniting the entire country on this festive day!
Let's cherish the Ukrainian language together! Karazin is with Ukraine in our hearts!
