Congratulations to the Karazin University Team on Winning the Mini-Football Tournament

On June 9 and 10, the mini-football tournament held within the framework of the Kharkiv Student Sports Leagues took place, with the team of Karazin University emerging as the champion.

The team included students of the School of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems: Roman Hospodenko, Vitalii Tkachenko, Valerii Liubimyi, Illia Teslenko, Oleksii Tolkach, Andrii Ostrikov, Vladyslav Povolotskyi, Ivan Stepanenko, and Vladyslav Sorokin, as well as Andrii Yakovenko (School of Economics), Kostiantyn Zhukov (School of Medicine), Artem Datsenko (Education and Research Institute of Sociology and Media Communications), Oleksandr Sliusariev (School of History), and Matvii Hutsaliuk (Education and Research Institute “Institute of Public Administration”).

The silver medals were won by students of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, while the bronze medals went to the team of the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture.

A total of eight teams representing higher education institutions of Kharkiv competed in the tournament. All teams demonstrated a high level of preparation, competitive spirit, and determination to succeed.

The initiative to organize the Student Sports Leagues is implemented with the support of the Kharkiv City Council and the Department for Family, Youth and Sports Affairs. Its purpose is to promote student sports, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and foster an active youth community in Kharkiv.

We congratulate the athletes and their coaches, Yurii Petrenko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Basic Military Training, Physical Education and Sports, and Viktor Rodionov, Instructor-Methodologist in Physical Culture and Sports of the “Univer-Loko” Football Club, on this achievement!
