Karazin University Successfully Completes the "Resilient Teaching" Certificate Programme
From 10 to 26 June 2026, the Education and Research Institute "Teachers' Academy" of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University hosted the certificate programme "Resilient Teaching", developed within the framework of the international Erasmus+ CBHE Strand 2 SAFE LEARN project, "Supporting Adaptive and Flexible Education for War-Affected Students in Ukraine."
The programme brought together 56 academic staff members, including 51 lecturers from Karazin University and five representatives of other higher education institutions in Ukraine. It is aimed at developing the professional and psychological competencies required for the effective organisation of the educational process and for supporting students amid the challenges of war, crises, and uncertainty.

The programme combined contemporary pedagogical approaches, practical training sessions, and interactive learning formats. Participants completed five thematic modules:
- Topic 1. Psychological Resilience of University Teachers: Self-Management Strategies in Times of Crisis (trainers: Olha Vyhovska, PhD in Political Science, Associate Professor; Tetiana Datsenko, PhD in Psychology);
- Topic 2. Using Digital Tools to Organise an Interactive and Effective Educational Process (trainers: Olha Vyhovska, PhD in Political Science, Associate Professor; Tetiana Datsenko, PhD in Psychology; guest trainer: Mariia Boiko, PhD in Education, Associate Professor);
- Topic 3. Innovative Teaching Methods in Extreme Conditions: Microlearning in Times of Uncertainty (trainers: Olha Vyhovska, PhD in Political Science, Associate Professor; Tetiana Datsenko, PhD in Psychology);
- Topic 4. Educational Escape Room: Solving Crisis Scenarios (trainers: Olha Vyhovska, PhD in Political Science, Associate Professor; Tetiana Datsenko, PhD in Psychology; guest trainer: Alina Zemlianska, PhD in Philology, Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University);
- Topic 5. Principles of a Trauma-Informed Approach to Creating a Safe Learning Environment (trainer: Tetiana Holovatenko, PhD).
Throughout the programme, participants mastered practical tools for strengthening their psychological resilience, explored modern digital technologies for organising the educational process, learned innovative teaching methods for crises, and studied the principles of creating a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed learning environment.

Upon successful completion of the programme and the certification assessment, participants receive professional development certificates worth 3 ECTS credits (90 hours).
