The EAUCES Project Team Participated in the Conference "The Modern Library as a Space for Non-Formal Education and Personal Development"
On 30 June 2026, the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence "Eastern Ukrainian Centre of European Studies" (EAUCES) project (ERASMUS-JMO-2024-COE, No. 101176972) was presented during the conference "The Modern Library as a Space for Non-Formal Education and Personal Development", organised by the V. H. Korolenko Kharkiv State Scientific Library.
During the event, the project coordinator, Professor Dmytro Mykolenko, presented the Centre of Excellence's main areas of activity and outlined its contribution to the development of non-formal and informal education in Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the opportunities the project offers teachers, civil servants, students, representatives of civil society organisations, and everyone interested in deepening their knowledge of European integration, European values, and contemporary European practices.
Conference participants learned about the academic courses, training sessions, seminars, and other educational activities implemented by the project team. It was emphasised that non-formal education is an essential component of the modern educational environment, as it promotes continuous professional development, fosters civic competencies, develops critical thinking, and advances European values.
The presentation of the project at the conference marked another step towards expanding cooperation among educational institutions, libraries, and civil society organisations in promoting European studies. The EAUCES team will continue working to create an open educational environment that provides broad public access to high-quality educational resources, modern teaching methodologies, and up-to-date knowledge about the European Union.
