Scientists of Karazin University were Honoured with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Prize for Young Scientists
On July 10, 2026, a solemn ceremony for awarding the laureates of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Prize for Young Scientists for 2024 took place in Kyiv.
The laureates were congratulated by the Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovations, Serhii Babak, and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, who presented diplomas and medals to Ukraine’s leading young scientists.
Among the award recipients were two representatives of Karazin University:
- Olha Vovk, Deputy Director of the Academician P. T. Tronko Centre for Ukrainian Studies and Regional History and lecturer at the Department of Historiography, Source Studies and Archaeology of the School of History, for her work entitled “The International (Re)Integration of Ukrainian Education in the Context of Decolonising the Intellectual Space: A Historical and Biographical Dimension (on the Example of V. N. Karazin, 1773–1842)”;
- Olha Maksakova, Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Reactor Materials and Physical Technologies of the School of Physics and Technology, for her work entitled “Structure and Properties of Composite Nanoscale Coatings as Highly Efficient Materials for Multifunctional Applications.”
