In 2024, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University sustained damage as a result of Russian shelling, including a missile strike on January 2, impacts on September 21, and enemy strikes during the night of November 8.

Despite these challenges, the university community demonstrated incredible unity and resilience. Faculty and students began restoration work on their own, actively clearing debris and addressing the aftermath of the shelling. Numerous volunteers and charitable organizations, as well as the university's friends and partners, contributed to the restoration of more than 2,600 windows in various university buildings.

This joint effort became a vivid testament to Karazin University’s ability to overcome any obstacles. Thanks to unity and the support of those who care, the educational process continues, and the university confidently moves forward, maintaining its status as one of the leading educational institutions in Ukraine.
