PhD student Yulia Volkova took part in the "FuseNet PhD Event 2022" conference
During July 4-6, 2022, the conference for postgraduate students "FuseNet PhD Event 2022", organized by the educational association "FuseNet", was held in Padua (Italy). 131 graduate students from 23 countries took part in the event. The venue of the conference was the oldest botanical garden in the world, the Padua Botanical Garden, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The participants had the opportunity to present a poster presentation or an oral presentation in the format of a pile-up — a presentation of 20 image slides of 20 seconds each. The purpose of this format is to stimulate discussion and avoid monotonous presentation of information with text-filled slides.
This year, Yuliya Volkova, a graduate student of the Department of Applied Physics and Plasma Physics of the Educational and Scientific Institute "Physics and Engineering Faculty" participated in the competition of postgraduate scientific works of this association.
She presented both poster and oral reports "Behavior of compressed plasma flows in external magnetic field".
The participants of the event visited the "Garden of Biodiversity" exhibition, went on excursions to the Palazzo Bo of the University of Padua, saw the neutral beam injection test setup and the RFX-mod experiment at the Consorzio RFX fusion research laboratory.
