27 february 2023 year

From February 1, 2023, the Department of Safety and Security took the building and the adjacent territory of the "Physics and Engineering Faculty" of the Karazin University in the village of Pyatikhatki under protection.

As a result of active hostilities in Kharkiv Oblast, the educational and scientific institute "Physical and Technical Faculty" was seriously damaged and destroyed. In addition, dangerous explosive items of military purpose were scattered around the educational building and the dormitory. At the request of the university, the forces of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine conducted an inspection of the institute building, the dormitory and the adjacent territory in January, as a result of which several dangerous projectiles were discovered and neutralized.

After receiving an act from the Kharkiv division of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine regarding the possibility of using the territory of the educational part, the economic service of the university provided electricity to the institute building.

The forces of the Department of Safety and Security cleared the passageways on the first floor of debris, glass, and other debris, blocked window openings to avoid drafts and precipitation, and repaired the entrance door, which was missing at all.

The security post is equipped with an alarm system and a panic button to call the police in case of emergency. The technical support department of the Security and Security Department is completing the installation of a video surveillance system around the perimeter of the institute building.

Management employees also cleared the destroyed and debris-strewn rooms on the first floor of the Physical and Technical Faculty of the Institute of Physics and Technology, prepared a rest room and heated the guards for round-the-clock duty, carrying out loading and unloading operations, and further clearing of the educational building by the institute's employees.
