International Dentist's Day: University congratulates

Every year on February 9, the world celebrates the International Day of the Dentist, dedicated to the day of memory of Saint Apollonia.

On this day, the Catholic Church honors the Christian martyr Apollonia of Alexandria, who is considered the patron saint of dentists and those who suffer from toothache. Believers turn to the martyr when they have a toothache and believe that healing occurs instantly.

The profession of a dentist is extremely important and necessary, prestigious and complex. Modern dentistry is a high-tech science that constantly improves methods of treatment and disease prevention. This is a field of medicine that is in constant development.

At the Faculty of Medicine of Karazin University, there is a place where future dentists are formed and grow professionally, the Department of Stomatology. Experienced teachers, clinicians, highly qualified professionals in various fields of dentistry, who constantly raise their level of competence at all-Ukrainian and international conferences, trainings, seminars, forums, help students to overcome the difficult and long path to their dream profession.
