University professor Ihor Hirka joined the work of the scientific committee of the "EUROfusion" program

On February 6, 2023, the director of the educational and scientific institute "Faculty of Physics and Technology", Ihor Hirka, took part in the work of the scientific committee to review the projects of the "EUROfusion" program in the "Enabling Research — Technology" section.

For the fourth time since 2018, the university professor represents Ukraine in this committee, he was authorized by the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology National Science Center.

This time, representatives of six international teams working in the field of photonics, plasma diagnostics, the latest designs of gyrotrons, neutron detectors, and machine learning reported on the progress of projects. At this stage, no projects from Ukrainians have been submitted, but representatives of Ukraine can apply in the new competition that will be announced this year.
