International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students “Modern Problems of Mathematics and Its Applications in Natural Sciences and Information Technologies”
On May 5–6, 2026, with the support of the Student Scientific Society of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, the XX International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists entitled “Modern Problems of Mathematics and Its Applications in Natural Sciences and Information Technologies” was held.
The participants of the event were welcomed by the Deputy Chair of the Organizing Committee, Deputy Dean for Research of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, Associate Professor Olena Arshava.
She noted that the scientific event, traditionally held on the eve of Science Day in Ukraine, has already become a long-standing tradition of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science. She emphasized that the conference is not only an exchange of ideas, but also a meeting of like-minded individuals striving to make the world better through the power of thought, research, and innovation. Each presentation becomes a step toward a deeper understanding of mathematical problems, while every discussion serves as a source of new solutions and the beginning of future cooperation. It is through scientific dialogue that truth is born, a shared vision is formed, and the foundation for new projects is laid.
More than 80 students and young researchers from Austria, Libya, Mexico, Slovakia, Ukraine, Germany, and Scotland presented the results of their scientific research during the sessions of six sections.
Representatives of 24 higher education institutions and 2 representatives of general secondary education institutions took part in the scientific discussions.
The conference became a platform for inspiration, professional growth, and the establishment of friendly contacts.
We express our gratitude to the organizers and participants of the conference for the opportunity to join the discussion of current issues in mathematical science and to preserve the traditions of scientific activity at the School of Mathematics and Computer Science!
