Karazin University Representatives Complete Internship at the University Medical Center Groningen

From April 20 to May 8, 2026, representatives of Karazin University — Valeriia Trusova, Head of the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Nanotechnologies at the School of Physics and Technology; Olha Zhytniakivska, Associate Professor of the same department; Kateryna Kot, Associate Professor of the Department of Biochemistry at the School of Biology; and Ruslan Zabrodskyi, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Biochemistry at the School of Biology — completed a scientific internship at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG, the Netherlands).

During the internship, the participants became acquainted with modern approaches to conducting preclinical research in the field of nuclear medicine, including the use of advanced medical imaging equipment.

They gained practical experience in experimental design, research preparation, operation of specialized equipment, and analysis of research results.

The knowledge and skills acquired during the internship represent an important step toward the development of nuclear medicine in Ukraine, contributing to the training of highly qualified specialists, the implementation of modern scientific approaches, and the strengthening of international cooperation.
