Karazinites are among the Laureates of the Prizes Awarded by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the Results of the 2023

On March 6, 2024, the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine awarded prizes named after prominent Ukrainian scientists for the results of the 2023 competition conducted by the departments of the NAS of Ukraine.

Among the scholars from Karazin University, numerous researchers were honored with awards. Specifically, recipients of the B. I. Verkin Prize for establishing a significant dependence of the electro-transport properties of pseudo-gap states of conductors of various origins on external factors included:

  • Professor Yuriy Boyko from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University
  • Dean of the School of Physics at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine Ruslan Vovk
  • Graduate of Karazin University, Senior Researcher at the B. I. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering of the NAS of Ukraine Andriy Solovyov.

The recipients of the D. V. Volkov Prize for the cycle of works "Scattering, ionization, and electromagnetic radiation processes involving high-energy charged particles in amorphous and crystalline media" included:

  • Professor Mykola Bondarenko, leading researcher at the National Science Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology" and the Department of Nuclear and High Energy Physics at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University
  • Professor Ihor Kyryllin, leading researcher at the National Science Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology" and the Department of Nuclear and High Energy Physics at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University
  • Professor Serhiy Trofymenko, leading researcher at the National Science Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology" and the Department of Nuclear and High Energy Physics at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The laureates of the S. Ya. Braude Prize for pioneering measurements of the integral spectrum of the Cassiopeia A supernova remnant and participation in the creation of the next-generation Ukrainian radio telescope GURT and the European NenuFAR radio telescope (France) among Karazin graduates included:

  • Igor Bubnov, Senior Researcher at the Radioastronomical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
  • Oleksandr Stanislavskyi, Senior Researcher at the Radioastronomical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
