Karazin University Joins the Initiative to Establish Ukraine's First Regional Medical Cluster "Veterans of Kharkiv Region''

Recently, a meeting of the founders of Ukraine's first regional Medical Cluster took place. The Cluster was established specifically to support veterans by providing a comprehensive, continuous cycle of care – from emergency treatment to in-depth rehabilitation and reintegration.

Tetiana Yehorova-Lutsenko, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Council, chaired the meeting. Among the participants were Olena Lohvynova, Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, heads of higher education institutions, healthcare institutions, research and rehabilitation centres, as well as leaders of veterans' organisations.

Acting Rector of Karazin University Tetyana Kaganovska took part in the event. She noted that supporting veterans is one of Karazin University's key priorities. Today, the University's mission lies not only in educating professionals and advancing science, but also in creating opportunities for those who have defended Ukraine. Therefore, Karazin University is consistently developing a comprehensive support system for veterans, helping them obtain new education, master modern professions, undergo professional retraining, receive psychological support, and confidently reintegrate into civilian life.

Karazin University's participation in the establishment of the Medical Cluster will become another important step towards creating a comprehensive support system for Ukraine's defenders in the Kharkiv region.
