Opening of the art exhibition for the 300th anniversary of Hryhorii Skovoroda
On December 27, 2022, the anniversary exhibition "Hryhorii Skovoroda in the artistic heritage of Kharkiv artists" was opened in the central scientific library of the university.
The event was co-organized by the Center for Ukrainian Studies and Local History named after academician P. T. Tronka and the Yermilov Center.
The exhibition presents 12 sheets of graphic works, among the authors of which are a corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine Oleksandr Khmelnytskyi, People's Artists of Ukraine Anatoliy Nasedkin and Hryhoriy Tomenko, Valentin Syzykov and Yevhen Tregub, Honored Artist of Ukraine Petro Shihymaga and other well-known artists. The cycle was prepared for the 250th anniversary of Hryhorii Skovoroda, which was celebrated in 1972.
Vice-rector Oleksandr Golovko greeted those present. The Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy Ivan Karpenko, Professor of the Department of History of Ukraine of the Faculty of History Lyudmila Posohova, Director of the Museum of Astronomy Vadym Kaidash, Director of Yermilov Center Nataliya Ivanova, Director of the Central Scientific Library Iryna Zhuravlyova also spoke with words of congratulation. The host of the event was Olga Vovk, deputy director of the center of Ukrainian studies and local studies named after academician P. T. Tronka.
Those present could not only admire the works of art, view the thematic book exhibition, but also enjoy ancient chorales, songs and romances, the words and music of which were written by Hryhorii Skovoroda.
