Karazin University Meets with Representatives of the University of York
On 5 September 2024, a scheduled online meeting took place between representatives of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the University of York (United Kingdom). The event focused on discussing the current collaboration between the two institutions and exploring opportunities for further expansion.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector of Karazin University Zarif Nazyrov, Head of the International Relations Office Iryna Shteimiller, and Twinning Coordinator Oleksandr Kryvtsov. The University of York was represented by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Ambrose Field, Global Partnerships Officer Lingzi Cook, and Executive Assistant to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Gemma Powell.
Both parties emphasised the importance of continuing and expanding their collaboration, noting the significant potential for developing a long-term partnership. Key discussion topics included the development of joint research activities and the prospects for establishing a double degree programme. These initiatives are expected to play a significant role in strengthening academic ties between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, offering new opportunities for students and faculty of both universities.
The meeting underscored the commitment and readiness of both sides for further active collaboration and the development of new joint projects, which will contribute to the continued growth of academic cooperation between Karazin University and the University of York.
