Fostering Education and Scientific Cooperation of Karazin Kharkiv National University with Prominent Figures from Nigeria

On July 17, 2023, a solemn event took place in Abuja, Nigeria, to commemorate the membership of Karazin Kharkiv National University in the International Scientific Community. Among the new members were distinguished figures from Nigeria in the fields of education, science, business, and public administration. 

In solidarity with the Ukrainian people, the Merit House hall, where the event was held, was adorned with yellow and blue decorations, and the participants were greeted with the national anthems of Ukraine and Nigeria. The event was opened with a welcoming speech by Valeriy Reznikov, the dean of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business.

As part of the event, lecturers from the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business at Karazin Kharkiv National University, Olena Mykolenko, and Oksana Chala, conducted online lectures and served as moderators for scientific discussions with the audience.

Some of the topics that sparked interest among the attendees were:

  • The use of internet technologies and artificial intelligence in managerial activities.
  • The application of e-commerce in the practical operations of international agencies.
  • The creation and utilization of local and regional information networks.

The event was organized by the head of the FTAISA Skills Centre and the representative of Karazin Kharkiv National University in Nigeria, Cliff Ogbede.

Dr. Ogbede urged the new members to be good ambassadors and to uphold the spirit and ethics of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and Ukraine.

The participants of the event expressed sincere gratitude to Karazin Kharkiv National University and conveyed their wishes for further fostering educational and scientific cooperation.

A representative from the Calabar municipality in Cross River State, a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives, personally extended greetings and appreciation to Karazin Kharkiv National University on behalf of the Deputy Speaker of the House, Benjamin Kalu, for the significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
