Katerina Chkuasela - Winner of the All-Ukrainian Essay Competition among Students "Nuclear Energy and the World–2023"
On November 18, during the opening of the Karazin Weekends Legacy project at the Yermilov Centre of Karazin University, 10th-grade student Katerina Chkuasela from the municipal institution "Kharkiv Gymnasium No. 169" was awarded the diploma of the grand prize winner of the All-Ukrainian essay competition "Nuclear Energy and the World–2023" and received gifts from the Ukrainian Nuclear Society.
For many years, the NGO "UkrYAT," with the support of the State Enterprise "NAEK "Energoatom," has been organizing annual essay competitions among students on the topic "Nuclear Energy and the World." Since 2018, students from Kharkiv have also joined this competition. In Kharkiv, the competition is organized by members of the NGO "UkrYAT," who are employees and postgraduates of the Institute of Physics and Technology at Karazin University and researchers from the National Scientific Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology."
In the city's selection stage this year, which took place in May 2023, 31 works were submitted by students from 19 schools, gymnasiums, and colleges in Kharkiv.
The competition jury identified three winners whose works were recommended for participation in the final stage of the All-Ukrainian essay competition among students "Nuclear Energy and the World–2023," held on November 1–2, 2023, in a remote format.
The grand prize winner of the competition was Katerina Chkuasela from Kharkiv with the essay titled "Issues of Development of Thermonuclear Energy in the World and in Ukraine."
For the second time in five years, residents of Kharkiv have become winners of the competition. We are proud of the achievements of our youth!
