Delegation Presented Karazin University's Educational Opportunities in Nigeria

From January 27 to February 2, 2022, a delegation of Karazin University consisting of the Dean of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business, Valerii Rieznikov, and the Head of the Ukrainian-African Academic Center, Inna Kolomiichuk, visited Nigeria.

The purpose of the visit was to present the educational opportunities of Karazin University.

The delegation met with officials, representatives of state educational institutions and higher education institutions of Nigeria.

In particular, during the visit to the National Council for Technology Incubation, the parties discussed the prospects of obtaining a higher business education at Karazin University, reached preliminary agreements on short-term courses for Nigerian entrepreneurs, which will promote the development of local human resources, innovation and products.

During the meeting with the Karazin University delegation, Senator Orji Kalu expressed interest in the University's educational programs. Those present discussed the possibility of allocating state scholarships for training talented Nigerian youth in the Ukrainian higher education institution.

Memoranda of cooperation were also signed during meetings with the administrations of the Federal Polytechnic of Nekede and the Maryam Abacha American University. The parties agreed to create work programs under which Nigerian students will study for a certain period in a local higher educational institution, and will continue their studies at Karazin University to obtain a higher level of education.
