Educational Event on Preventing Labour Exploitation and Protecting Employment Rights Held at Karazin University

On 17 September, an educational event for students was held in the safe space of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, focusing on preventing labour exploitation and protecting workers’ rights during employment.

The speakers at the event were representatives of the North-Eastern Interregional Department of the State Labour Service and the Main Department of the National Police in Kharkiv Region.

Together with the students, the experts discussed how to identify suspicious job offers, avoid employment scams, why it is essential to have an official employment contract, and where to seek help in case of violations of workers’ rights. The meeting was held in an open dialogue format, allowing everyone to receive answers to their questions.
