In Karazin University, the Lunyov readings "Museum in the educational process: higher and secondary school" took place
On December 9, 2022, the 13th Lunyov readings "Museum in the educational process: higher and secondary school", which was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Museum of History of Kharkiv University, took place in an online format at Karazin University.
The participants of the conference and the employees of the museum of history of the university were greeted by the vice-president Anton Panteleimonov, the dean of the history faculty Serhii Lytovchenko, the head of the Association of Museums of Higher Education Institutions of Kharkiv, the head of the department of historiography, source studies and archeology of the history faculty Serhiy Posokhov.
They noted the achievements of the university's history museum, its role in preserving the history and traditions of the university, uniting teachers, graduates and students of Karazin University.
A graduate of the university, the rector of Kharkiv Humanitarian University "People's Ukrainian Academy" Kateryna Astakhova also spoke with a congratulation, who also read a congratulation from the organizer of the creation and the first head of the museum of history of the university, Valentina Astakhova.
At the plenary session, the director of the museum of history of the university Viktoria Ivashchenko "Museum of history of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University: time, events and people (to the 50th anniversary)" and senior research associate of the museum of history of the university Olga Krasko "Museums in times of war: challenges and solutions (on the example of the activities of the Museum of History of Karazin Kharkiv National University)".
The speakers introduced the participants to the important events of the museum of history of the university and described in detail the innovative activities of the employees over the past two decades, shared the experience of museum and educational work and new projects of the museum in today's difficult conditions.
During the conference, there were two sections "Museums of educational institutions: experience, problems, current state" and "Actual issues of museum affairs: preservation of traditions and support of innovations", which discussed issues of organizing museum activities in the past and present, got acquainted with the study of individual monuments At the same time, they discussed both the urgent problems of museums in wartime, the organization of the preservation of the funds of museum institutions, and the museum projects that are planned to be implemented in peacetime.
Traditionally, at the Lunyov readings, the A.F. Lunyov Prize for the best report was awarded. This year, Olga Soshnikova, acting director of the Kharkiv Historical Museum named after M. F. Sumtsov, became the laureate.
