Karazin University Among Winners of the Competition for Projects to Establish Centres of Excellence
On 14 September 2026, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine completed the competitive selection of projects for the establishment and development of Centres of Excellence, submitted by Ukrainian higher education institutions for funding under the joint investment project with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, “Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results”.
This year, 27 applications from state higher education institutions under the Ministry’s jurisdiction were submitted to the competition. Of these, 24 applications met the established eligibility criteria, and 12 projects were selected for funding.
Karazin University was among the winners of the competitive selection with its Karazin LifeTech CampeX project — a Centre of Excellence, ranking fifth overall among higher education institutions and first among participants from Macroregion 3, which includes Kharkiv Region.
Winning the competitive selection opens up new opportunities for the further development of Karazin University and strengthens its role as a leading educational and research centre of the Kharkiv region.
