Rock festival "Music of Resistance" at the University

For the first time since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of our territory, a powerful cultural event took place in Kharkiv — the music festival "Music of Resistance", organised by Ukrainian writer and poet, Honorary Doctor of Karazin University Serhiy Zhadan.

The festival was attended by musicians who now serve in the defence, and are volunteers.

This time they did not pick up weapons or cargo, but their usual microphone and musical instruments. The participants of the festival were Svyatoslav Vakarchuk ("Okean Elzy"), groups TNMK, Zhadan and The Dogs, Selo I Ludy, Trans-former, Kadanov / Kononov, Papa Carlo and Yana Zavarzina, Sergei Vasilyuk ("Shadow of the Sun"), Vitaly Kirichenko ("Number 482") and others.

Svyatoslav Vakarchuk dedicated his composition "Misto Marii" to our defenders on his birthday.

"After our victory, we will definitely repeat at Metalist Stadium. Kharkiv sounds and fights. Our resistance and our strength are accelerating Ukraine’s victory," Serhiy Zhadan said.

We thank the musicians for supporting our fighting spirit, and the Armed Forces for the opportunity to hear Ukrainian music, not just the explosions of enemy missiles.
