Space for Your Ideas: “Vulyk” at Karazin University Opens Its Doors to Educational Initiatives of the Community
This project is the result of a unique synergy between Karazin University and the savED charitable foundation, with financial support from the Government of Sweden. “Vulyk” is a large, modern space created so that children and young people in Kharkiv can continue learning, communicating, and developing despite the challenges of war.
Rector Tetyana Kaganovska emphasized the strategic importance of the project for the university: “Childhood cannot be put on hold. Our children will not have the opportunity to live this wonderful stage again, so we must create conditions for their communication, learning, and even first love right here in Kharkiv. For the university, it is important to demonstrate continuity: from kindergarten to school, and then to Karazin University. If children stay in Kharkiv and later enter the university, the city will live on.”
Representatives of the savED foundation noted that cooperation with Karazin University has become their first and highly successful experience of partnership with a higher education institution.
“Vulyk” is located in the northern building and can simultaneously accommodate more than 50 people. It is divided into functional zones:
- digital zone equipped with modern laptops, personal headphones, and projectors for individual and group work;
- tutoring zone — a space for knowledge recovery sessions and preparation for the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT);
- creative zone and play area: a large library, board games, materials for art therapy, and stationery for creative activities;
- recreation zone: a place for informal communication, film screenings, and conversational clubs.
“Vulyk” is an open platform for implementing your ideas! We invite university lecturers, students, and school teachers of the city to use the center’s opportunities for educational, cultural, or social events. If you have an idea for a lecture, workshop, training session, or meeting, “Vulyk” is ready to become your venue.
