It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Liliya Kostiantynivna Shchelkunova on April 13, 2024, at the age of 81. She was an engineer at the Department of Social and Economic Geography and Regional Studies named after Kostiantyn Nemytsia at the School of Geology, Geography, Recreation, and Tourism of Karazin Kharkiv National University.

Liliya Kostiantynivna dedicated almost 30 years to the faculty's team. From April 1997 to July 2012, she worked at the dean's office of the School of Geology and Geography. From July 23, 2012, until her last days, she served as a Senior engineer at the Department of Social and Economic Geography and Regional Studies.

She was responsible, friendly, sensitive, and passionate about her work. She was respected and known not only by the faculty members but also by colleagues from across the university. Lively, optimistic, always ready to give advice, she supported and energized everyone around her.

The community of Karazin Kharkiv National University extends sincere condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues and shares the bitterness of this irreparable loss.

The bright memory of Liliya Kostiantynivna will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
