Support the petition to rename a street in honor of the Hero of Ukraine, Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, combat medic, and tactical medicine instructor, engineer of the School of Medicine Simulation Center, Yevhen Viktorovych Khrapko
Yevhen Khrapko was a Ukrainian combat medic and tactical medicine instructor, a member of the simulation center at Karazin University, and an instructor at the European Resuscitation Council. He played a crucial role in establishing a specialized tactical medicine training center in Desna (Kyiv, Ukraine), which led to the introduction of the military specialty "combat medic" in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the creation of positions for medical personnel without medical education. He is often referred to as the "godfather" of combat medics in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Tragically, Yevhen Khrapko lost his life on June 11, 2022, in Kharkiv Oblast when a mine hit the ambulance while evacuating wounded soldiers. During the first three and a half months of the Russo-Ukrainian War, he evacuated over 100 wounded soldiers from the frontlines.
For his personal bravery and heroism demonstrated in defense of Ukraine's state sovereignty and territorial integrity, and his selfless service to the Ukrainian people, he was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the "Golden Star."
The memory of Yevhen Khrapko's life journey, his dedicated work to develop tactical medicine in Ukraine, and his selflessness in saving lives will forever remain in our hearts and deserves to be enshrined in the history of Kharkiv!
Join in collecting signatures for the renaming of Ivan Kamyshev Street to Yevhen Khrapko Street.
