The Karazin University students performed well at the International Student Physicist Tournament
The International Student Physicist Tournament was held in the city of Bucaramanga (Colombia) from May 9 to 14. 18 teams from different countries took part in it and won the national selections.
Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, the team of Karazin University, which consisted of boys this year, could not go to the tournament. Instead, the national team of Ukraine was convened and prepared within a month. The team of six participants included two students of the Karazin University: Anastasia Romanchuk from the Physical and Technical Faculty of Physical and Technical University and Vlada Fandeeva from the Physics Faculty.
According to the results of the competition, our Ukrainian team took sixth place among fifteen teams, entered the semi-finals, but did not make it to the finals. And the student Anastasia Romanchuk won the diploma of the best speaker.
We are proud of our female students who represented our country in an international scientific arena!
We would like to thank the team leaders who selflessly helped the girls in preparing for the tournament: Associate Professor Oleksiy Golubov and Associate Professor of the Faculty of Physics Zakhar Maizelis, graduates of the National Institute of Physics and Technology Ksenia Minakova, Anastasia Gaeva (winner of the International Student Physicist Tournament 2011 year), who went with the team to Colombia as official team leaders.
