Karazin University held a scientific and practical seminar for the administration of the Department and administration of educational institutions of the Kyiivskyi district of Kharkiv

On May 25, 2023, V. N. Karazin University held a scientific and practical seminar "On the main directions of cooperation between V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and educational institutions of the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv city, directors of basic and complete general secondary education of various types, out-of-school education of the district" for the administration of the Department of Education, the Center for Educational Technologies of the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv City Council, and directors of educational institutions of various types.

The seminar was attended by 27 heads of the Department of Education, Methodological Service, educational institutions of various types of the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv, as well as 25 deans, deputy deans of faculties, directors of educational and research institutes, the Center for Postgraduate Education, the Central Scientific Library, and the Karazin Center for Pre-University Education.

The seminar was opened by the Acting Rector Oleksandr Holovko. He greeted the participants, introduced them to the program, told them about the peculiarities of the university admission campaign in 2023, the plan to hold the Open Day on June 10, 2023, analyzed the effectiveness of work with pedagogical and managerial staff of educational institutions of the Kyiv district of Kharkiv in the field of postgraduate and non-formal education during 2016-2023, in particular, in the context of a full-scale invasion.

The seminar participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the university alumni and faculty who have died defending Ukraine since 2014.

Olena Vediaieva, Head of the Department of Education of the Administration of the Kyivskyi District of Kharkiv City Council, expressed her gratitude to Rector Tetyana Kahanovska and all academic staff for the quality work with students of the district's educational institutions to prepare them for admission to the university, in particular, on preparing for the national multi-subject test in 2023, and with managerial and pedagogical staff in the field of professional development.

Deans, deputy deans of faculties, directors of educational and research institutes, the center of postgraduate education, the central scientific library, and the center of pre-university education of the university revealed to the seminar participants the specifics of the educational and scientific activities of the structures they head, invited potential applicants to enroll in the relevant specialties, and provided them with various information booklets, brochures, business cards, and presentation materials.

All the participants of the scientific and practical seminar exchanged views and suggestions on current educational challenges.

Within the framework of the seminar, Oleksandr Holovko and Olena Vediaieva signed a memorandum of cooperation between V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the Department of Education of the Administration of the Kyiv District of Kharkiv City Council to further expand and deepen cooperation in research, teaching, organizational, cultural, and educational activities.

At the end of the seminar, Oleksandr Holovko and Mykhailo Tatarinov, Director of the Center for Postgraduate Education, presented the participants with certificates of advanced training within the accumulative system of postgraduate and lifelong education.
