Karazin University Participates in STEM Exhibition Dedicated to International Day of Women and Girls in Science

On February 18, at the initiative of the youth organization "Successful Kharkiv" and with the support of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports Affairs, the Department of Education, and the Department of Culture of the Kharkiv City Council, a STEM exhibition took place in honor of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
In this challenging time for the university community, it is highly valuable and important to be able to share our achievements with schoolchildren, students, and citizens. As part of the event, 18 higher education institutions presented scientific developments and talked about their activities. Some areas of humanities, sports, recreation, security, arts, and cultural events were also featured.
Karazin University actively participated in this event, showcasing a poster exhibition titled "Women of Karazin University in Science" and an interactive STEM zone where attendees could familiarize themselves with the research of our scientists and researchers. The exhibition involved:
- Representatives from the School of Physics, including the head of the educational laboratory of physical lecture demonstrations, Vyacheslav Sklyar, and some students.
- Representatives from the Education and Scientific Institute of Computer Physics and Energetics, including the deputy director for academic work, Denis Protektor, and some students.
- Representatives from the School of Biology, including Sergey Sidorovsky and its students
- Representatives from the Education and Research Institute "School of Physics and Technology," including Associate Professor Inna Afanasyeva and engineer Oleksandr Hapon.
The organization of the interactive STEM zone and the presentation of the university were also supported by the Dean of the School of Sociology, Olena Muradyan, Senior Lecturer of the Institute of Political Sociology of the School of Sociology, Ruslan Zaporozhchenko, Senior Laboratory Assistant of the Institute of Political Sociology of the School of Sociology, Darya Yashkina, Specialist of the Institute of Applied Sociology and Social Communications of the School of Sociology, Valeriya Turchenkova, and the Chair of the Council of Young Scientists of Karazin University, Katerina Kravchenko.
Rector Tetyana Kaganovska, Vice-Rector Anatolii Babichev, and Director of the Extracurricular Activities Center Tetyana Cherednychenko also contributed to the organization of the interactive STEM zone and the university's presentation.
We are grateful for the opportunity to communicate and experience science firsthand! Once again, we demonstrated that Karazin University is a place for the development of education, science, and research, unlocking personal and professional potential.
