Tour guide Maxim Rozenfeld and Director of the Publishing house 'ASSA' Svitlana Feldman visited Karazin University
Karazin University has always gathered a strong circle of like-minded individuals, creative people, and intellectuals.
A meeting took place between the university leadership and guide, historian, architect, and associate professor of the Department of Cultural Studies and History of Science, Maxim Rozenfeld, along with the founder and head of the Kharkiv publishing house "ASSA," Svitlana Feldman.
Maxim Rozenfeld is an illustrator, storyteller, and popularizer of the history of architecture and design. He teaches at the School of Philosophy at Karazin University. Mr. Rozenfeld is a member of the expert group of the Norman Foster Foundation for the development of Kharkiv’s urban strategy and is also part of the jury for the reconstruction competition of Freedom Square in Kharkiv.
During the meeting, Maxim Rozenfeld presented his book "Facades. Kharkiv," which explores the history of Kharkiv's architecture through graphic reconstructions and narratives. He noted that Kharkiv has many buildings in the Art Nouveau style because, for centuries, city life has been shaped around the oldest educational institutions and student communities. Kharkiv is undoubtedly a university city that has influenced the development of urban architecture.
Svitlana Feldman has been involved in the publishing business for over 30 years. She became one of the founders of the "ASSA" publishing house, which operates and develops in resilient Kharkiv. The publishing house specializes in producing children's literature, school books, and travel literature. During the meeting, the heads of the institutions discussed potential areas of collaboration.
