Inventors' and Rationalizers' Day: The University Celebrates

Every year, on the third Saturday of September, Ukraine celebrates Inventors' and Rationalizers' Day.

The tradition of invention at Karazin University was started by its founder, Vasyl Karazin. He improved agricultural tools, proposed new methods for drying vegetables, fruit, and meat, and developed an accelerated method for producing saltpeter.

Today, researchers at Karazin University are working on developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning, space technologies, nuclear medicine, quantum physics, information security, new materials, and other fields.

The results of this work are also reflected in intellectual property rights: the university currently holds more than 300 intellectual property protection documents.

Inventors' and Rationalizers' Day is an opportunity to recognize those who seek new solutions, improve what already exists, and help scientific ideas find practical applications.
