Youth Day: Karazin University Extends Its Congratulations
On August 12, Ukraine celebrates Youth Day — a day when we honor the younger generation's contributions to the country's development and speak about its potential, energy, and initiative.
It was at the initiative of Ukrainian youth that, in 2021, Ukraine moved the celebration of Youth Day to August 12, coinciding with International Youth Day proclaimed by the United Nations. This decision became another step towards embracing European values and definitively moving away from the Soviet tradition of celebrating this day.
For Karazin University, Youth Day holds special significance, as young people are an integral part of our university community and one of the key driving forces behind its development. Every day, the university not only provides education and helps students acquire professional knowledge, but also shapes a new generation of Ukrainians — responsible, free-thinking, capable of thinking critically, creating new things, and taking responsibility for the future.
This day carries particular significance today, as our country continues its struggle for freedom, while Ukrainian youth study, work, conduct research, volunteer, and pursue personal development despite the challenges of wartime.
Karazin University is proud of its students and young researchers, their achievements, initiatives, and desire to change the world around them. We believe that Ukraine’s future is young, active, educated, and full of opportunities, and that Karazin University will continue to play an important role in shaping this future, remaining a space for education, research, development, and the realization of young people’s ideas.
We wish young people the courage to dream big, the strength to turn their ideas into reality, and the opportunities that help make those dreams come true. Happy Youth Day!
