80th Anniversary of Karazin University Representative, Outstanding Scientist Oleh Tyrnov: Congratulations from the Karazin Community

The staff of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University sincerely congratulates Oleh Fedorovych Tyrnov on his 80th anniversary.

Oleh Fedorovych belongs to the talented cohort of scholars of our university whose professional journey began back in the 1970s. His scientific achievements have been highly recognized by the global physics community. His tireless pursuit of knowledge, dedication to self-improvement, integrity, high standards, active civic position, as well as his kindness and humanity, have earned him great authority among scholars and deep respect from colleagues.

Oleh Fedorovych has conducted space research on a truly global scale — in Ukraine, the United States, Canada, and Japan — where his significant scientific contributions are well known. His pedagogical excellence has been highly appreciated both in Ukraine and in Turkey. We deeply respect him as a talented educator whose tireless work has contributed and continues to contribute to the development of Karazin University.

At the School of Radiophysics, he progressed from a student to the Head of the Department of Space Radiophysics and later to the Dean of the School. For many years, he also worked in an important and responsible area — trade union activities. During particularly challenging times, Oleh Fedorovych served as the Head of the Primary Trade Union Organization of Kharkiv National University — the largest trade union organization of education workers in the city of Kharkiv.
