5 may 2026 year

On April 24, 2026, within the framework of the international project “Nature Restoration – Challenges and Opportunities for Future Landscape Specialists” (FutureLand), implemented under the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships for Higher Education (KA220-HED) programme, another webinar was held on the topic “The Implementation of the EU Nature Restoration Regulation in Spain and Catalonia: A Multilevel Governance Perspective.”

More than 60 students, postgraduate students, researchers, as well as representatives of enterprises and organizations from 9 countries around the world took part in the event.

During the webinar, presentations were delivered by Fernando Magdaleno Mas (Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge of Spain), Marc Vilaur Chiaraviglio (Government of Catalonia), Marc Marí (Provincial Council of Girona), Miquel Rafa (Nature Conservation Council), and Cristina Sánchez (Nature Conservation Network XCN).

In their presentations, the speakers highlighted the specific features of implementing the EU Nature Restoration Regulation in Spain and Catalonia. In particular, they addressed the multilevel governance system (from the national to the local level), outlined the key challenges and prospects, and presented practical approaches to combining ecosystem restoration measures with agricultural development.

The next webinar within the project framework will take place on May 29, 2026. We invite everyone interested to join the event.
