A Lane in Kharkiv has been Renamed in Honor of the Karazinite Dmytro Shapoval
As a result of toponym renaming in Kharkiv, 35 streets were named after fallen defenders of Ukraine, among whom there are also alumni of Karazin University.
In particular, the former Uglytskyi lane was named after the graduate of the School of History, Dmytro Shapoval.
Dmytro Shapoval was killed on July 19, 2022, in the Kherson region while performing his military duty in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
While studying at the School of History, Dmytro was one of the most active students of his course, participating in student creative contests, scientific conferences, and archaeological expeditions. He specialized in the Department of Ancient World History and the Middle Ages, researching society during the Roman Empire period.
We are grateful to everyone who participated in the public discussion and supported the renaming! Eternal memory and glory to the heroes!
