Karazin University Medical Student Wins the Final Quiz of the International BREATHE Project
Diana Udovenko, a student at the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, has won the final interactive quiz, "The Threat of Infectious Diseases," which concluded the first series of international online lectures held as part of the German-Ukrainian educational project BREATHE. Achieving the highest score in the competition, Diana Udovenko was awarded a professional Littmann stethoscope.
The BREATHE project is implemented within the framework of a German-Ukrainian partnership between medical institutions. It is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the "Hospital Partnerships – Partners Strengthen Health" programme, coordinated by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The initiative aims to support medical education, strengthen professional competencies, and promote international academic collaboration.
Over 17 weeks, international experts introduced participants to modern approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases. The lecture series covered bacterial and viral infections, tuberculosis, HIV infection, the principles of rational antimicrobial use, and the management of patients with severe infectious diseases.
