Results of the International Mathematics Olympiad
From July 6 to 16, 2022, the International Mathematical Olympiad was held in Oslo (Norway). This year, 589 participants from 104 countries took part in it.
According to the results of the competition, all members of the Ukrainian team won prizes: 1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Igor Pilaev showed the best result: he scored the maximum possible number of points - 42. This is already his third medal at this most prestigious mathematical competition for schoolchildren (two years ago he was awarded a silver medal, and last year he was awarded a gold medal).
Svyatoslav Deniskov (Kharkov) received 29 points and was awarded a silver medal. Four more Ukrainians: Anton Havryliuk (Kyiv), Vadym Hasseev (Kharkiv), Ivan Bortnovskyi (Kharkiv), Semen Andriets (Kyiv) — received bronze medals, scoring from 28 to 25 points.
