Honorary doctor of the university, Ukrainian writer Serhii Zhadan became the laureate of the Hannah Arendt Prize

Honorary doctor of the university, Ukrainian writer Serhii Zhadan was awarded The Hannah Arendt Prize for Political Thought.

The Hannah Arendt Prize is awarded by the Heinrich Böll Foundation in cooperation with the city of Bremen.

The award jury called the writer "a great storyteller who continues the tradition of Central European literature and at the same time revolutionizes it."

According to them, "Zhadan is a great citizen in Arendt's sense, who cares about the society in which he lives and works, actively helping to ensure that the citizens do not lose heart during the war of Russian aggression."

We congratulate Serhii on the recognition and receipt of this honorary award!
