Birthday of the head of the research department of the university, associate professor Volodymyr Sukhov: the university congratulates

On July 17, 2022, Volodymyr Sukhov, associate professor of the Department of Experimental Physics of the Faculty of Physics, head of the research department of the Karazin University, celebrates his 70th birthday.

In 1976, Volodymyr Mykolayovych graduated from the Faculty of Physics (specialty "Physics") of Kharkiv State University named after O. M. Gorky with honors and started working at the university.

In 1987, under the supervision of Professor M. T. Hladkykh, he defended his candidate's thesis on the topic "Subcooling during the crystallization of metals and binary alloys in condensed films" in the specialty "Solid State Physics". In 1988, Volodymyr Mykolayovych was awarded the academic title of senior researcher specializing in solid-state physics, and in 2004, the title of associate professor of the Department of Experimental Physics.

Volodymyr Mykolayovych is known and appreciated by his colleagues as a competent, experienced specialist, demanding and extremely devoted to his work, a wise teacher and prudent leader, a talented scientist.

His pedagogical and scientific experience is 51 years. During this time of fruitful work at the university, he worked in various positions: junior researcher, head of the student trade union committee, senior engineer of the department of inorganic chemistry, associate professor of the department of experimental physics, scientific secretary of the research department (he held this position for more than 20 years), head of scientific - research part.

He is a role model for teachers, and an authoritative teacher and advisor for students. His lectures are attended by students of the Faculty of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems, and students of the Faculty of Physics. His life and management experience, significant scientific achievements are a theoretical and practical reference point for new generations of physicists, teachers, and managers.

Despite the huge number of management cases, Volodymyr Mykolayovych always finds time for everyone: listen, advise, suggest, help, rejoice, sympathize, joke, protect, and sometimes quarrel, but still support.

For his significant personal contribution to the implementation of state policy in the field of national education and science, improvement of teaching methods, productive use of new educational technologies, fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity, he was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Certificate of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the Prime Minister's Appreciation - of the Minister of Ukraine, with the sign "Excellent of Ukraine" and "For Scientific Achievements".
