The Educational Programmes “International Economics” and “Accounting and Taxation” have Received International Recognition and Prestigious Accreditation Awards.
The educational programmes “International Economics” of the Department of International Economics and World Economy, and “Accounting and Taxation” of the Department of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing of the School of Economics, have gained high international recognition by receiving the prestigious accreditation certificate “Specialty with a Future – 2026.”
This distinction confirms that both programmes meet the contemporary challenges of the global economy, reflect the dynamic development of the world economy, and comply with current requirements of both national and international labour markets.
The programmes are aimed at training highly qualified specialists capable of working effectively in the context of globalization, conducting comprehensive economic analysis, making well-grounded managerial decisions, and ensuring financial transparency and efficiency of business entities.
The awarded certificate attests to:
- a high level of student training in the fields of international economics, accounting, and taxation;
- the innovative content of the programmes, taking into account modern global and national transformations;
- the strong scientific potential and professionalism of the academic staff of the respective departments;
- a strategic focus on integration into the international educational and scientific space.
Additionally, the “International Economics” programme was honoured with the accreditation certificate “Leader in Education for the Labour Market,” highlighting its practical orientation, relevance of its curriculum, and alignment with the needs of modern employers in the field of international economic relations.
The evaluation was carried out by an international expert board with the participation of leading scholars and practitioners in the fields of economics, finance, accounting, education, and management. Such a composition of experts ensured the objectivity of the assessment and confirmed the high quality of the programmes on the international stage.
The award ceremony took place on March 25, 2026, at Kazimierz Castle in Przemyśl, Poland.
The event was attended by a delegation from the Department of International Economics and World Economy, including the Head of the Department, Associate Professor Tetiana Shuba, and Associate Professor Maryna Shuba.
Receiving these international accreditation awards is an important achievement for the entire Faculty of Economics, as it confirms high standards of educational quality, competitiveness of the programmes, and their compliance with the modern requirements of the global economic environment.
The Faculty of Economics will continue its systematic work on improving educational programmes, expanding international cooperation, and training professionals capable of working effectively both in international economics and in accounting and taxation, thereby contributing to the sustainable economic development of Ukraine.
