Student Essay Contest "Nuclear Energy and the World"

After a year-long break, the Ukrainian Nuclear Society (UkrNS) resumed the All-Ukrainian Student Essay Contest "Nuclear Energy and the World".

With the support of the Department of Education of the Kharkiv City Council, schoolchildren from Kharkiv also participate in this competition. In our city, the organizing committee of the competition is represented by teachers and scientists of the Education and Research Institute "School of Physics and Technology" of Karazin University and scientists of the National Scientific Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology", who are members of the Kharkiv branch of UkrNS.

This year, the jury received 31 abstracts from students of 18 schools and 1 vocational college in the city. Under the terms of the competition, 10 papers were to be selected for the second round, but the jury decided to allow 14 papers to participate.

Although Kharkiv schoolchildren have been participating in this competition since 2018, we have already had a number of awards as winners, the last of which was won in 2020 by Mykola Luhanko, a graduate of school No. 45 and now a third-year student at the Institute of Physics and Technology.

We will find out about the winners of the competition in Kharkiv, who will represent our city in the second round this fall, in early June. We thank all the participants for their activity and indifference, and wish them success and victory!
