Humanitarian aid from the University of Pavlo Jozef Shafarik in Košice
Many European universities, educational and research institutions took initiatives to support the teachers, students and employees of the Karazin University, who found themselves in difficult life circumstances as a result of the war. Our teachers and scientists constantly receive offers of help from their European partners, which are not limited to personal connections established thanks to joint projects started in pre-war times.
Recently, Karazinsky received more than 10 tons of humanitarian aid from the University of Pavlo Josef Šafarik in Košice (Slovakia) within the framework of the international project "Future of Public Administration", dedicated to the implementation of the principles of good governance, promotion of public integrity and accountability of public administration representatives .
On the initiative of the project teams of both universities, it was decided to allocate more than 10,000 euros within the project budget to humanitarian aid, which will soon be used not only by representatives of the Karazin University, but also by other residents of our city. Receiving humanitarian aid became possible thanks to the program of cooperation and friendship between the sister cities of Kharkiv and Košice, which ensured the most efficient and prompt logistical support of the cargo.
The entire university corporation expresses its sincere gratitude to colleagues and partners from the University of Pavlo Jozef Shafarik in Košice, as well as to the administrations of the cities of Košice and Kharkiv, not only for effective and quick help, but above all for a vivid example of the victory of humanism and solidarity over barbarism and cruelty.
Together we will definitely win!
