Being the closest territory to Russia, which pursues an aggressive policy, the east of Ukraine today is a region of vital importance for European civilization. Promoting European values, studies and security policies is the security guarantees for both Ukraine and the EU. In turn, V. N. Karazin University is still working as one the main scientific and educational centres of Ukraine and the project will deepen cooperation between Ukraine and the EU. The aim of the project is to develop European studies in the east of Ukraine through scientific research and to introduce new educational courses dealing with political integration and strengthening Ukraine due to disseminating the EU experience, information and cyber security, countering information and memory wars, economic development in conditions of war.
The activities are the following: research (holding of round tables, producing publications of scientific research, and conferences); education (lectures, workshops, debates, publication of methodical and didactic materials) with implementation of technologies, which corresponds to the Green Deal and Digital Decade. The target groups of the project are students and teachers of tertiary education institutions of Ukraine, scientists, teachers of schools, as well as representatives of business, state authorities and local self-government bodies. Training with the Kharkiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be organized for local entrepreneurs. The results of the project are expected to be an activation of scientific research in the field of different aspects of European studies; deepening students’ knowledge and strengthening their professional competitiveness in future by implementing relevant disciplines in the educational process; dissemination of the EU experience via interaction with stake-holders.
