Academic Council of the Univeristy

On April 16, 2026, an extraordinary meeting of the Academic Council was held at Karazin University.

During the meeting, a number of key decisions were adopted regarding the organization of the admission campaign and the educational process. In particular, the members of the Academic Council approved the Admission Rules for higher education in 2026, new educational programmes, and the distribution of licensed enrollment capacity for the 2026/2027 academic year.

An important step for fostering innovation at the university was the decision to establish a Shared Research Facilities Center “Laboratory of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Robotics” within the Education and Research Institute of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. The Council also approved the Commissioner for the State Language and updated the composition of the standing and awards committees of the Academic Council.

In addition, the Academic Council considered issues related to the certification of research personnel, establishing ad hoc specialized academic councils for the defense of PhD dissertations. At the end of the meeting, changes were made to the editorial boards, and a number of new academic publications of the university were approved for publication.
