Academic Council of Karazin University
On December 23, a meeting of the Academic Council of Karazin University took place.
The event began with a visit from members of the Ukrainian scout organization "Plast." The scouts presented a Christmas nativity play, concluding with a rendition of the well-known carol "Nova Radist Stala" ("A New Joy Has Come"), and handed over the Bethlehem Peace Light to Karazin University.
After the ceremonial part, the Academic Council members proceeded to discuss the meeting's agenda.
They addressed personnel matters, approved decisions on the conferral of academic titles, and endorsed several regulations, educational and certificate programs, short-term professional development courses, and university curricula.
The attendees listened to a report by Vice-Rector Liliia Hrynevych on updating teacher education programs in the context of implementing the "New Ukrainian School" reform. Vice-Rector Oleksandr Holovko presented the results of a survey conducted among Karazin University first-year students.
The Academic Council also approved the establishment of one-time specialized academic councils at Karazin University and changes to the editorial boards of the university's periodicals.
As is tradition, the meeting concluded with the Academic Council approving the publication of various educational, methodological, and scientific materials and their placement on the university's web resources.
