On January 28, 2025, Karazin University hosted a meeting of the Supervisory Board, chaired by Academician Anatolii Zahorodnii, Head of the Supervisory Board of Karazin University and President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Today, we have the opportunity to work and study only thanks to our defenders. The meeting began with a moment of silence to honor Karazin community members who gave their lives on the battlefield.

"Throughout Karazin University's 220-year history, we have achieved numerous successes, held many hopes, and celebrated victories. On the eve of our 220th anniversary, we have much to report, much to be proud of, and even more to strive for," said Rector Tetyana Kaganovska as she opened the meeting.

At the beginning of the event, the Rector presented a report on the university’s key achievements in 2024. She highlighted strategic and priority objectives, scientific advancements, social responsibility, national-patriotic education, and the preservation of traditions. Despite ongoing challenges, Karazin University continues to strengthen its research potential and maintain high-quality education.

Valeriia Trusova, Head of the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Nanotechnology at the Education and Research Institute (ESI) "School of Physics and Technology," introduced the "Innovative Nuclear Medicine Center" project. The center’s mission is to provide advanced diagnostics and treatment of oncological diseases by integrating innovative technologies, scientific research, and high-quality medical care. This ambitious university-based project has the potential to transform the landscape of cancer diagnostics and therapy in Ukraine.

Another report on the activities and future prospects of the ESI "Academy of Teaching" was delivered by the University’s Vice-Rector Liliia Hrynevych. The upcoming academic year will see the launch of a Master’s program in Digital Pedagogy, a certificate program in Educational Leadership in Times of Transformation, in-person intensive training sessions in Kyiv, and the development of a qualification exam for awarding the professional title of "Secondary School Teacher."

At the end of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between Karazin University and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The agreement focuses on advancing joint research and fostering national scientific development.

We are confident that the coming year in Karazin University’s history will be filled with significant events, remarkable achievements, and the successful implementation of all planned initiatives. We are the Karazin University community, and together, we can conquer any peak!
